Problem

Plugin migration needs more than a superficial file check: each component must be classified as directly usable, adapted, unsupported, or blocked.

Approach

dsh-compat inspects a plugin component by component, then emits a compatibility report, source map, ownership lock, and deterministic DSH Bundle without silently dropping host-specific semantics.

Current boundary

  • Compatibility states are explicit: DIRECT, ADAPTED, UNSUPPORTED, and BLOCKED.
  • It does not execute source plugin scripts, hooks, MCP, or LSP, and it does not widen permissions.
  • DSH is a Developer Preview, so compatibility claims must be bound to and revalidated against an exact version or commit.

Results

Alpha v0.1 is public; the CLI, static validation, five real-plugin compatibility reports, and GitHub Release are complete, while npm publication awaits authentication.

Limitations

DSH remains a Developer Preview; the tool does not execute source plugin code, and generated bundles still require review before installation.

Version History

  • v0.1.0 Aug 14, 2026 — Public repository, Chinese README, demo GIF, real-plugin reports, and GitHub Release completed.
